Garvey spent eight years as the cornerstone of the Los Angeles Dodgers "fabulous four" who led the Dodgers to a World Series title in 1981. During his time with the San Diego Padres, Garvey became the only player in baseball history to have an errorless season at first base. He is a ten-time All-Star and a four-time Gold Glove winner, as well as being named MVP numerous times in his career. However, to only mention Garvey's baseball accomplishments would be leaving out a lifetime of achievements as a businessman, philanthropist, volunteer and family man.
